Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in Grand Haven, Michigan, for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client's growing business. This role operates within a distribution industry and will require the successful candidate to have strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities: Strategic management of accounting and finance functions, ensuring smooth operations and the integrity of the company's financial information. Direct and supervise accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, implementing improvements as necessary. Oversee relationships with independent auditors, ensuring compliance and transparency.

Manage relationships with investors and investment institutions, fostering strong connections and maintaining open communication. Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements, ensuring the company is adequately protected. Hire, train, and retain accounting and finance staff, cultivating a team that is skilled and motivated.

Hold positions of increasing responsibility within accounting and finance, applying this experience to drive the company's financial success. Use advanced knowledge of all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily operations and decision-making. Utilize skills such as CapEx, CRM, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, and Strategic Analysis to effectively perform duties and contribute to the company's growth.

Requirements A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably as a CFO Proven experience in managing accounting functions, including the establishment and management of internal controls Demonstrated proficiency in the implementation and management of CRM systems Experience in CapEx management, including planning, tracking, and evaluating capital expenditures Proficiency in auditing, including compliance with regulations and the identification of potential areas of improvement Experience in managing budget processes, including the development, execution, and review of budgets Strong skills in capital management, including the allocation and management of financial resources Proven ability in conducting cash flow analysis and implementing strategies to improve efficiency Experience in formulating and executing acquisitions strategy Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals Strong strategic planning skills, including the ability to align operational activities with organizational objectives Proficiency in strategic analysis, including the ability to review and interpret financial data to inform strategic decision-making.Job typePerm.
